AlArabia Outdoor Advertising Launches “Manhood is Responsibility” Campaign to Raise Prostate Cancer Awareness
Alkhereiji: We Strive to Deliver Community Service Campaigns in a Creative Way to Reach the Largest Possible Audience
AlArabia Outdoor Advertising, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, has launched a prostate cancer awareness campaign titled “Manhood is Responsibility”. The campaign has been displayed across the streets of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, as well as on TV channels and social media platforms.
A Creative Approach to Social Awareness
Mohamed bin Abdulelah Alkhereiji, CEO of Al Arabia Outdoor Advertising, stated:
“We launched this campaign as part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility. Our creative Saudi team is dedicated to presenting social campaigns in an innovative, non-traditional way, ensuring they reach the widest possible audience.”
He emphasized the importance of raising awareness about prostate cancer, which is one of the most common types of cancer among men. Studies indicate that one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, with symptoms often appearing only after the age of 50, leading to late detection and higher mortality rates.
Encouraging Early Detection
AlKhereiji added: “Our goal is to encourage men to consult a doctor at the first sign of symptoms and to undergo early screenings. To engage the community, we created a thought-provoking teaser campaign, asking people what ‘manhood’ means to them. The message? Manhood is responsibility, and health should be a top priority.”
The campaign also introduced a distinctive ribbon symbol for prostate cancer awareness, similar to the widely recognized pink ribbon for breast cancer, making it easier for the public to associate and remember.
High Engagement and Social Media Impact
The campaign achieved high reach across Saudi Arabia and received significant engagement from social media influencers, contributing to increased public awareness and promoting a culture of early detection.
